Nairobi - Geoffrey Mosiria, the Chief Officer for Environment in Nairobi County, has been recognised as Kenya’s Best Chief Officer.

Mosiria was celebrated at the esteemed StarLeaders Awards, organized by Politrack Africa Ltd at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi.

The award honors Mosiria’s outstanding leadership and dedication to environmental conservation, sustainable waste management, and innovative green initiatives that have transformed Nairobi’s environmental landscape

After accepting the accolade, Mosiria acknowledged the residents of Nairobi for their unwavering backing, dedication, and teamwork, highlighting how these factors were instrumental in driving forward environmental improvements.

“Thank you, Starleaders Awards presented by Politrack Africa, for acknowledging our efforts and bestowing upon me the honor of being named the Best Chief Officer in Environment in Kenya. I am deeply appreciative of this distinction. It serves as both an inspiration to push myself further and a confirmation that my endeavors do not go unnoticed by God. My dedication remains steadfast in striving to leave society better off than when I first encountered it,” stated Mosiria.

He also conveyed his thanks to Governor Johnson Sakaja for consistently supporting the push for better environmental policies and to the whole Nairobi County environment team for their persistent work on crucial projects and initiatives.

Under Mosiria’s leadership, Nairobi has seen significant advancements in waste management, noise pollution control, green space restoration, and environmental education programs aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability among residents.

The StarLeaders Awards honor exceptional leadership and remarkable service provision by government employees nationwide.
