Bowen VC restates commitment to sustain legacy of academic, moral excellence

The Vice Chancellor of Bowen University in Iwo, Osun State, Professor Jonathan Babalola, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to utilizing the institution's resources to produce academically proficient and ethically strong graduates for both national and global job markets.

He made the remark at the 23rd matriculation ceremony of the university, during which about 1,600 new students were officially absorbed into the university.

Professor Babalola informed the newcomers that Bowen University is more than just an educational institution; it’s a community firmly grounded in essential principles such as integrity, excellence, enterprise, creativity, and social duty.

He urged the new students to dedicate themselves fully to their academic pursuits and avoid all types of immoral behavior, distractions, and vices, since the university does not tolerate any kind of antisocial conduct, such as drug use and substance abuse.

The guest lecturers, Leye Falade, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas, and his twin brother, Gbite Falade, MD/CEO of Aradel Holding Plc, in their addresses both attributed sustainable success in life to hard work, consistency, discipline, and godliness.

Connected to the 61st anniversary: The College of Animal Health at Ibadan will confer degrees upon 820 students. Ghana secures the top three positions in the 2024 WAEC International Excellence Awards. The vice chancellor states that Bowen University cultivates steadfast and determined leaders ready for the international job market.

They urged the new students to be focused in their study, set their priorities right, break down their plans into little processes, and pursue them rigorously.
